The cross town beams are dismantled from the freeway superstructure. The steel beams arrive on a large truck at the District 2 county barn.

The Steel Beams Come to Wagoner County

In July of 2011, Wagoner County was contacted about the availability of the recycled 36" Cross Town steel beams. Wagoner County Engineer, Monty Proctor recommended that the county obtain as many of the beams as possible as it would reduce the county's cost Truck with Steelof steel by as much as 50%.

Crews Recycle Beams From Old I-40 Crosstown Bridge
